Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you get started.
Are the lawyers on Samhita Legal verified?
Yes. Every lawyer on the platform is manually verified. We check their Bar Council enrolment, ID, address and professional experience before we activate their profile.
How is my consultation kept private?
Consultations happen on our secure infrastructure with encrypted transport. Recordings are never made without your explicit consent, and only you and your assigned lawyer can access session details.
What does a consultation cost?
Consultations are a fixed ₹500 for a 30-minute session. The exact price is always shown before you confirm the booking.
What if I'm not satisfied?
If we can't connect you with a suitable lawyer, we'll refund your fee within 24 hours. If you had a call but the advice wasn't helpful, contact legalinfo@samhitalegal.com and we'll investigate.
Do you handle documents I upload?
Documents you upload are stored in a private, access-controlled folder that isn't reachable via a public URL. Only you, your assigned lawyer and our authorised platform staff can access them, and every access is logged.
Can I get a written follow-up after my call?
Yes. Every consultation includes a written summary from your lawyer covering the discussion, recommended next steps and any documents you should prepare.
Do you provide legal representation in court?
Yes. If your matter needs court representation, your lawyer will share a fee proposal after the initial consultation.
How can I become a lawyer on the platform?
Advocates can register through our Lawyer sign-up flow. You'll be asked to submit your Bar Council enrolment number, a self-declared area of practice and identity documents. Onboarding takes 3-5 business days.
